A TON HAS HAPPENED SINCE WE LAST WROTE...THIS WAS THE MAIN THING

Happy Easter

We had a wonderful Easter in Boston this year. We had lots of fun taking pictures of Erihana and her cousin Jackson. After church we had a wonderful dinner at my brother Dan and his wife Emilia's house. We enjoyed some tradition Greek food and the evening was complete with an Easter egg hunt. I am so greatful for the knowledge we have of our Savior and His resurrection. It is holidays such as Easter that reminds me how blessed we are to have family near and far that love us.

Our trip to Disneyland

We recenly spent soe time in LA due to unfortunate health issues my mom faced on the way home from visiting us in Hawaii. We took a break from the hospital and went to Diseyland. Erihana had a fabulous time. She did not want to meet any of the characters as they were too big and scary but she LOVED the rides. Her favorite was the Dumbo ride. the first time she went on she was very nervous and crying in line and even buckling in to the elephant but as soon as the ride started she was thrille and yelled, "go up mommy, go up!!" She also enjoyed the tea cups and the amazing parade and fireworks show. She fell asleep right after the last firework went off. It was a magical day!

Crazy Neighbors!!

So we had a 12:00 celebration, but we were dwarfed by the neighbors...yeah, those are all illegal...but who cares. You'll have to forgive the loud goofball's voice, there was some crazy guy standing by Hanale when he was filming it. LOL. J/K he was the goofball...

12:00 MIDNIGHT IN HAWAII

Happy New Year!!!

We had a terrific New Year's Eve Party. For those of you who have not experienced New Year's in Hawaii, fireworks are NOT illegal on the streets. So every year the Vincents get every kind of firework imagineable. The festivities started in the early afternoon by making the traditional Won Tons. Erihana was very careful putting water on the dough and she tried really hard to fold them properly but always came out with a burrito instead of a Won Ton shape. So Erica was on Quality Control this year. then around 8pm the fireworks started all over the place. The street were filled with smoke within an hour and continued until Midnight. Aerial fireworks ARE illegal and many cops busted sellers throughout the week. Luckily we live near some cops as well as some neighbors who hid theirs well thorughout the week. So huge aerial fireworks went off at midnight all around us. What a show!
Erihana spent most of the night holding her ears but got brave around 11pm when she felt safe to hand Mommy some fireworks to light Finally at about 11:45om she held a few sparklers. She's a very careful child.

Making Sugar Cookies

It is a Vincent Family tradition to bake sugar cookies and decorate them with the kids and then hand them out to our friends. This year, Eirhana brought a friend of hers, James to join us. Erihana had lots of fun getting all messy with the flower and especially sneaking the candy decorations into her mouth instead of on the cookies. We had lots of fun!

CHRISTMAS IN HONOLULU

We went to see the lights and decorations at Honolulu Hale, the City Hall. We went on a little train ride, saw a HUGE Santa and Mrs. Claus, saw beautifull decorated Christmas trees, listened to a beautiful Men's Choir, and Frosty's whole family was there!

Erihana Singing and Dancing

Erihana loves to sing and dance (when she feels like it of course). This is a video of her doing her thing at the park...she is HILIARIOUS!! At least we think so.

Cooking with Daddy

Erihana loves to cook and so does Hanale. This is a great bonding time for the two of them. It is interesting how well behaved Erihana can be when she is cooking. She never touches anything she is not supposed to and excitedly and carefully does the tasks she is asked to. I find great joy in watching the two of them cook together.

IMAGINATION

Erihana has really started to imaginary play. It is so fun to watch her pretend. It has showed us a new side of her personality and keeps us on our toes. Last night, Erihana made a cake out of play-doh and used chopsticks as candles and started walking towards her daddy singin "happy Birthday to you!" Then she demands, " Blow out the candles, Daddy!" She is so fun. Every day is a new adventure.

My Ottoman and Me

We recently bought an ottoman. Erihana loves it! She watches t.v. on it, eats on it, does somersalts on it and occasionally falls asleep on it. Simple pleasures ;0)

DADDY DAUGHTER DATES

This past Saturday was Hanale and Erihana's first official Daddy-daughter Date. With Hanale working full-time and going to school full-time, these two hardly see each other. As their relationship is important to all of us, we decided to start this tradition where they get to go off on their own for a little one on one time.
Erihana loves the City Bus. She wanted to go for a ride on the bus for their date. So off they went and ended up at the Children's Discovery Center. There are all sorts of fun learning activities. Erihana dressed up as a doctor and checked her daddy out and gave him a clean bill of health, Then they decided to go sailing in a boat ad fising as well. They stopped in the reading room where little Erihana had to be lifted up on the over-sized chair. Hanale found out his daughter is a wiz at Chess and that her little imagination is soaring at this stage of her life. Hanale was patient as she dressed up and ran around and talked non-stop.
Then they had Orange Julius and lunch and Erihana got a new pair of shoes out of the day. Hanale took these pictures with his phone.
They returned exhausted pals after this special event.

Halloween 2008

Happy Halloween! We went to our church Trunk or Treat activity. There was lots of food and fun! Erihana was her normal self, slow to warm up to the festivities, but about half way through the evening she was enjoying herself.

Every one decorated their trunk and lined up in the parking lot where the hundreds of children got a fun and SAFE trick or treating experience. Erihana did not participate in the costume parade after trying to convince her for about 10 minutes! But she let me put her down on the last leg of the trick or treating part.
OH YEAH! She was a princess. She wore the dress her Auntie Emilia bought her in June, I put ribbons in her hair and she had her little magical wand. Half way through trunk or treating, Erihana turned to me and said, "Mommy, I'm all done getting candy, I'm full." So funny! Most of the pictures with just me, Erihana took, she has really figured out the whole digital camera thing. Happy Halloween. this is one holiday that I think our baby is looking forward to being over.

Another One? I guess so...oh yeah...Yankees Suck!!

There are a lot of People who will like this, and some who won't, sorry...nah, not really sorry at all!!! So in case any of you have been living under a rock, the RED SOX are re-establishing their dominance after a few decades of letting everyone else experience success. I guess now its time for them to stop the bleeding, as well as the false sense of accomplishment. Sorry everyone else, especially the Yankees who are losing A-ROD, and possibly Rivera and Fifel (Posada). That must feel like a kick to the crotch...TOO BAD!!! Hahahahahaha, looks like they're going back to the toilet!!! Oh the sweet smell of winning another championship. For all you Yankee fans who are going to write back and say, "we have 26 championships," all I have to say is to refer to Rafiki in the Lion King and learn that "it does not matta, its in de past!" Man, I love Rafiki and all his wisdom!! Whodathunk the baboon had all that knowledge?

Playdoh time!!

Erihana has discovered playdoh. So has her daddy, hence the flower and elephant. They have lots of fun!!

Flower Pillow

Erihana often gets packages from her Nana and Grandpa Temple. This time she got a flower pillow for her big girl bed. She has recently switched from a crib to a toddler bed and although she had a hard time adjusting, she has finally gotten to point where she tays in bed all night. Such a big girl!

Just Baby

This is Erihana's doll "Baby". Yes, that is the doll's name. I have suggested many names to her that she can call the doll but she has refused them all. Family and strangers alike when they ask what her baby's name is, she wil look them in the eyes and emphatically state, "Just Baby!"
